WHY DRIVE TO EXCELERATE?
A Community Issue
A 21st century Catch-22: Good jobs require a person to have a driver’s license.
Obtaining a driver’s license costs money.
Young people living in poverty or of low socioeconomic status
can’t afford driving lessons or to pay for a driver’s license.
How can they then find jobs and contribute to the community if acquiring a driver’s license is unattainable?
Drive to Excelerate's goal is to end this quandary.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Bringing Change
Stark County residents 16 years and older may apply for financial aid in defraying the cost of driving school/license. All applicants must submit an application which are then reviewed by DTE Board. If accepted, all payments go directly to the driving school or license bureau.
