MEET THE TEAM

Drive to Excelerate Director & Board

PATTY LOVELL

Executive Director/Secretary

Patty Lovell, a retired educator and founder of Girls on the Run of Stark County, saw a need that wasn't being met when she worked in the Stark county school system as a Family Support Specialist. Disadvantaged families don't have the money for driving school lessons, which means these young people, who desperately need jobs, don't have the same opportunity to find work. Drive to Excelerate can quickly remedy this situation and have a huge impact  not only for the individual, but for the entire family.

DAN MOSS

Chairperson Board of Directors

Daniel Moss, a Canton native, is currently retired. He is a graduate of Wittenberg University with a degree in Biology, and Kent State University where he obtained a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He worked for the Village of Minerva, where he was the Service Director. After which, he spent 14 years with the Portage County Water Resources Department as the Wastewater Division Manager. His last position was with Burgess and Niple Engineering, where he was a Project Manager. He understands the importance of having access to a dependable car and obtaining a drivers license, to enable one to commute to school, and ultimately secure a good job.

PAM PAUSTENBACH

Treasurer

Pam Paustenbach worked as a teacher and school counselor in the public schools for 35 years.
She currently works with Stark County Schools as a Family Support Specialist,
and  has volunteered for 10 years with an inner city outreach ministry in Canton mentoring children ages 6-18 and is involved with the Legacy Project Mentoring Program in the public school setting. Pam has first hand knowledge as to why Drive to Excelerate is needed in our community.

Drive to Excelerate Director & Board

SALLY LITTLE

Board Member

Sally Little, along with her husband Gene, has lived, worked and raised three children in Stark County and she knows how a driver’s license can open doors for more opportunities not only for employment, but in many aspects of a person’s life. She believes Drive To Excelerate can have an impact on individuals as well as for the greater community and hopes local businesses will see the benefits of supporting the mission.

BOB HORGER

Board Member

Bob Horger became involved with Drive to Excelerate because it is a hand up, not out, for disadvantaged youth. This will help eliminate the cost associated with obtaining a driver's license that so many of us take for granted. The lack of a driver's license hinders many from expanding their work and living environment!
